主要从事多尺度分析方法及其在材料科学与工程中的应用研究,特别是材料的物理、力学性能的多尺度关联研究,多向编织复合材料、具有随机裂隙、节理、颗粒和空隙分布随机材料的物理、力学性能的多尺度模型与计算,以及复合材料结构服役行为分析的多尺度方法研究,并建立和完善其数学理论。

个人简介:

My name is Xiaofei Guan. I am a Ph.D. from the Institute of Computational Mathematics and Scientific/Engineering Computing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences under supervision of professor Junzhi Cui.
I am currently a visiting scholar at UCSD working with professor Bo Li, Li-Tien Cheng of Department of Mathematics. My research focuses on multi-scale modeling and computation in solid materials and biological system. I have been working on the multi-scale thermo-mechanical modeling, and multi-scale permeability behavior analysis for concrete materials. I am currently working on multi-scale analysis based Poisson-Nernst-Planck models for biological system, the model validation based on Bayesian inference method.
