Recently, YU Bin, a young teacher of our school, won the 2019 ICCM Best Paper Award by International Consortium of Chinese Mathematicians for the nearly 100-page academic paperBuilding Anosov flows on 3-manifolds authored by two French mathematicians and him. SU Yucai, RUI Hebing, CHEN Xiaoyang, ZHENG Kai and others were honored with the distinguished papers (Ruo Lin Award).
The ICCM Best Paper Award initiated by the International Consortium of Chinese Mathematicians since 2017 is an award given to mathematical papers. The ICCM selects the best works published by mathematicians of Chinese descent spread all around the world in the last five years. The selection process consisted of two rounds this time, and 16 best papers and 21 distinguished papers to be honored with Ruolin Award were selected. In the first round, there were 20 subject committees, and in the second round there was a global committee which was composed of nine world-renowned mathematicians led by Shing-Tung Yau.
The results of YU Bin's research were published in the top mathematics journal Geometry and Topology and those of SU Yucai, RUI Hebing, CHEN Xiaoyang and ZHENG Kai were published inAdvances in Mathematics and American Journal of Mathematics.Their efforts have received much attention and praise from colleagues at home and abroad.
