摘要: In the study of geometric flows, Type-II singularity is considered special (and rare) in the family of all singularities as critical case in the deformation of (generic) singularities. In joint works, we constructed more examples of such singularities for both finite and infinite time singularities for mean curvature flow in the complete non-compact setting. It’s interesting to notice critical phenomena actually show up at different levels when they are considered with earlier compact examples by Angenent and collaborators.

This is based on joint works with James Isenberg and Haotian Wu.
