Abstract: This talk will review the up-to-date developments of two most important numerical methodologies, the direct sampling-type methods and the adaptive-type methods, for solving general inverse problems, including the necessity and effectiveness of the methods as well as their applications to some typical linear and nonlinear inverse problems.

报告人简介：邹军教授现为香港中文大学卓敏数学讲座教授以及数学系系主任，香港工业和应用数学学会会长，香港数学学会副会长。邹军教授的主要研究方向是偏微分方程正反问题的数值方法和分析，曾为“德国洪堡基金学者”、教育部“长江学者讲座教授”和“国家海外高层次人才引进计划”专家，分别于2019年和2022年当选为美国工业和应用数学学会（SIAM）会士和美国数学学会（AMS）会士，现为12个国际计算数学期刊编委，包括SIAM J. Sci. Comput., SIAM J. Numer. Anal., JSC, M2AN, IPI等。
