Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce some monotonicity and one-dimensional symmetry of solutions to fractional equations by sliding methods, which are closely related to the Gibbons conjecture. After establishing some key ingredients such as a generalized weighted average inequality and maximum principles in unbounded domains, I will demonstrate how these tools can be employed in carrying out the sliding method to derive monotonicity and one-dimensional symmetry for fractional equations.
