Abstract:The Bakry-Émery $\Gamma_2$ criterion inequality provides a method for establishing the logarithmic Sobolev inequality. I will discuss a one-parameter family of weighted Bakry-Émery $\Gamma_2$ criterion inequalities with sharp constants. The results could be interpreted as a monotonicity of the Tsallis entropy under the heat flow and yield a family of sharp Sobolev inequalities. This is joint work with Xiaohan Cai.
报告人简介:王晓东,美国密歇根州立大学数学系教授,主要从事微分几何、几何分析及几何偏微分方程研究,在标量曲率、数学广义相对论、渐近双曲几何、刚性理论、几何不等式和CR几何等领域取得了一系列重要成果。其代表性成果发表于《Inventiones Mathematicae》《Journal of Differential Geometry》《Duke Mathematical Journal》《Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics》《Advances in Mathematics》等国际知名数学期刊。
