Abstract：Outflow boundary layers arise in kinetic and fluid systems when mass or characteristics leave a domain through a boundary. In this talk, we discuss recent results on stationary layer existence, uniqueness, stability, and instability for four representative models: Vlasov–Poisson equation, Boltzmann equation, isentropic compressible Navier–Stokes flow, and heat-conductive compressible Navier–Stokes flow.
