Analysis of Coupled Degenerate Reaction-diffudion SIR Model Describing Population Dynamics of Fox RabiesA coupled degenerate reaction-diffudion SIR model for the overall dynamics of the interaction between fox rabies is considered. The model helps to explain the epidemiological patterns observed in Europe, including 3 to 5 year cycle in fox populations infected with rabies. We provided some global analysis of the model, including the asymptotical behaviors due to Hopf bifurcation in the homogeneous model bescribed by a set of ordinary differential equations.2016年06月08日

Minimal Surfaces in the Three-dimensional Heisenberg Group and the Bernstein ProblemWe will characterize minimal surfaces in the Heisenberg group by the harmonicity of the normal Gauss map, considered as a map from the surface to the hyperbolic spaceH2. This comes with a close relationship with constant mean curvature surfaces in Minkowski space R13. High Dimensional Empirical LikelihoodIn this talk, by adding two pseudo-observations to the original data set, I will talk about the asymptotic normality of the log empirical likelihood ratio statistic. In practise, I suggest to use the normalized F distribution to approximate the distribution of the log empirical likelihood ratio statistic. A Note on Arzela-Ascoli's Lemma in Almost Periodic ProblemsThis paper is concerned with a generalized Arzela-Ascoli's lemma which has been extensively applied in almost periodic problems by the continuation theorem of degree theory. We give a counterexample to show that this lemma is incorrect, and there is a gap in the proof of some existing literature,where the addressed generalized Arzela-Ascoli's lemma was used. The Nested Method and Immuno-epidemiological ModelsThe results in the field of Mathematical modeling and researches in within-host virus infection systems (micro) and diseases transmission systems among hosts (Macro) are very plentiful. Since it has very closed relations between the virus munber within a host and the ability of disease transmission of this host, it is of great significance and realistic meaning to formulate and to investigate coupled systems between immunological and epidemiological systems to reveal the mechanism of disease transmission. In this talk, what is the nested method and how to use this mehtod to formulate the immuno-epidemiological models, are introduced. Dynamics for A Diffusive Prey-predator Model with Different Free BoundariesTo understand the spreading and interaction of prey and predator, in this talk we study the dynamics of the diffusive Lotka-Volterra type prey-predator model with different free boundaries. These two free boundaries, which may intersect each other as time evolves, are used to describe the spreading of prey and predator. We investigate the existence and uniqueness, regularity and uniform estimates, and long time behaviors of global solution. Some sufficient conditions for spreading and vanishing are established. When spreading occurs, we provide the more accurate limits of (u, v), and give some estimates of asymptotic spreading speeds of u, v and asymptotic speeds of g, h. Some realistic and significant spreading phenomena are found.2016年05月23日
